I bought this towel so long ago that the secondhand store where I found it is now out of business (due to circumstances surrounding this purchase I can actually remember that it was bought on Halloween in 2005). I've always meant to post it because I think it's too cute and it really makes me wonder about the person who stitched it. Well, nearly everything I pick up secondhand makes me think about its history but this makes me think about it even more so. I'd really like to know if she (I'm assuming it was a 'she' but you never know) made the pattern herself.
It, unfortunately, has a few stains but I've left them as I'm afraid of ruining it. I guess you could shrug and say it adds to the charm. I've never really had anywhere to hang it - it's just been here or there - but I'm thinking now that maybe framing it would be a good idea.
