I'm enthralled, absolutely enchanted and a little bit obssessed with this dollhouse made by Elsa Mora for her daughter. I've wandered back the post several time to stare at it a little bit more (this morning I found it again, happily, through whip up). I've been thinking about my unfinished dollhouse ever since I first found her masterpiece on craftzine. Actually, this makes me want to start all over. I like the idea of a dollhouse that isn't exactly a house - there are no specific rooms for kitchens and bedrooms and livingrooms. My dollhouse idea was sort of like this - I created a character in my mind and had ideas about where this character would like but I got too tied up in the preliminaries like painting (I never even got the thing put together). I think, if I do start over (not that I need another project right before Christmas), the new house will go together quickly without much fuss because it's what goes inside that thrills me.
Seriously, do yourself a favor and click over to her site - the details on this are amazing. She even made Frida!
