If you actually read the title of this entry - no, I'm not pregnant. Although, my recent foray into trapeze blouses and empire waist tops with a little gather right in the middle/below of the breasts might make you think otherwise.
My mom took my birthday shopping last night. My main goal was a new bathing suit for our Florida trip in October since I knew they were on sale everywhere. Unfortunately, as I feared, they were pretty picked over so I have home suit-less. I did, however, find a new dress to wear to the wedding on Saturday. As my mom was trying something on, I wandered over to the dressier sale section and found this beautiful mess of color. My original plan was going to wear a dress I bought for a wedding last year. It's a very pretty dress and I've only worn it that one time but it's more revealing than I am now - and more muted as it's in brown tones. This dress is perfect! And did I mention it was on sale for ten dollars? Now I can get my mani and pedi tomorrow in Not Really A Waitress red which is what I really wanted even though it wouldn't match the original dress at all and maybe even buy a new pair of black shoes if I can't come up with something to go with it.
I had carried it around for a bit before I actually looked tag: Bisou Bisou Maternity. But I still bought it. I'm not pregnant but I'm also not skinny and it looked good. And did I mention it was ten bucks? Exactly.
I'm always drawn to the maternity section in stores for some reason. I'll pick something up to admire it and then notice the tag and put it back. Maternity clothes are cute! Especially for a girl who obviously no longer fits in the junior depart but who can never find anything fun that fits in the women's department either.
I'm not going to start buying maternity clothes or anything but I am really happy with this dress.
Pardon the awful picture taken on my bedroom door at seven this morning.
I love the dress! The title did give me a start, though! Hey, if the dress fits, wear it!
